12 Metre Bandsaw Blade Manufactured & Dispatched Same Day – 67mm German Steel “Anaconda” to Taranaki

When customers need something out of the ordinary, capability and speed matter.

This job involved a 12 metre long, 67mm wide bandsaw blade, manufactured from premium German steel, welded, finished, and dispatched the same day from Auckland — delivered overnight to Taranaki.

At this scale, it’s not just about making the blade — it’s about controlling it.

When Size and Speed Matter

This week we manufactured and dispatched a 12 metre long, 67mm wide bandsaw blade, produced from premium German steel, completed and sent out the same day from Auckland.

Delivered overnight to Taranaki, this was a proper large-format job — the kind where both capability and handling experience matter.

A 12 Metre “Anaconda” Blade

12m custom welded bandsaw blade manufacturing Auckland New Zealand

At 12 metres in length, this blade sits well beyond standard workshop sizes.

  • Typical workshop blades: 2–4 metres
  • Medium industrial blades: 4–8 metres
  • This blade: 12 metres of continuous band

At 67mm wide, it’s designed for stability and straight cutting in demanding applications.

This isn’t a blade you casually move around — it has presence.
It is the length of our main fabrication area

Manufactured from German Steel

For this job, the blade was produced using high-quality German steel, selected for:

  • Consistent hardness
  • Fatigue resistance
  • Reliable cutting performance

At this length, material consistency matters. Any weakness is amplified over 12 metres — so starting with the right steel is critical.

Welding, Annealing & Finishing

Each blade is:

  • Cut precisely to length
  • Welded using calibrated equipment
  • Annealed to relieve stress at the weld
  • Ground for smooth tracking

On large blades, weld integrity is essential — it must match the strength and flexibility of the parent material.

Two-Person Handling – Controlled at Every Step

A key part of this job wasn’t just manufacturing — it was handling.

This blade required two people to safely control and move it through:

  • Welding
  • Finishing
  • Coiling
  • Packing

At 12 metres, the blade behaves like a loaded spring.

Without proper control it can:

  • Twist
  • Kick
  • Or damage itself

Using two operators ensures:

  • Even tension control
  • Safe handling
  • No distortion before dispatch

This becomes even more important with 67mm wide blades, where stiffness and stored energy are significantly higher.

Controlled Coiling Process

Coiling a blade of this size is a skilled job:

  • Clamps are used to control the band
  • Tension is managed evenly
  • Teeth are protected during the process

Done correctly, the blade:

  • Holds its shape
  • Installs easily
  • Performs properly from first cut

Packed for Transport

Once coiled, the blade is:

  • Secured under control
  • Packed flat in a reinforced carton
  • Protected against movement and edge damage

Large blades require proper packing to ensure they arrive exactly as they left the factory.

Same Day Dispatch – Auckland to Taranaki

This blade was:

  • Manufactured in Auckland
  • Completed and packed the same day
  • Delivered overnight to Taranaki

For many customers, downtime costs far more than the blade itself.

Fast turnaround keeps production moving.

Correct Specification Still Matters

On blades of this size, getting the specification right is critical:

  • Tooth pitch (TPI)
  • Material selection
  • Application matching
