A New Range of TCT Woodcutting Bandsaw Blades
We’ve recently added a new range of TCT woodcutting bandsaw blades to our lineup, developed for timber cutting applications where durability and cutting consistency are critical.
Unlike conventional carbon or bi-metal blades, TCT blades use tungsten carbide tipped teeth, allowing them to maintain sharpness for much longer when cutting abrasive, resin-rich, or contaminated timber. This makes them particularly well suited to high-volume cutting environments where blade life and downtime are key considerations.
This range features an MC5 (five-chip) tooth pattern, which forms the kerf progressively rather than in a single cut. The tooth sequence uses three different tooth geometries to create five cutting actions: the first tooth establishes the cut, while subsequent teeth widen the kerf in controlled stages. By spreading the cutting load across multiple teeth, peak forces are reduced and cutting stability is improved.
TCT wood blades are commonly used for:
- Solid timber and hardwoods
- Reclaimed and recycled timber
- Laminated and glued wood products
- Production environments with long cutting runs
As with all carbide-tipped blades, correct machine setup and feed control are essential, and care should be taken to avoid foreign objects such as nails or screws.
This new range expands our woodcutting offering for customers who need maximum blade life and reliable performance in demanding timber applications.
