Price Adjustment – Effective 1 November 2026
To our customers,
We are writing to let you know that our prices will increase by 11.2% from 1 November 2026.
Our last general price increase was on 1 November 2023. Since then, we have worked hard to hold our pricing despite increases in many of the costs involved in importing, manufacturing and supplying our products.
We are very conscious that the past few years have been challenging for many New Zealand businesses, including our customers. Our focus throughout this period has therefore been on improving efficiency and increasing volume rather than simply passing rising costs on to our customers.
Our increased web presence has helped grow sales volumes, while the relocation and redesign of our factory, including purpose-built production areas and improved workflows, have increased manufacturing efficiency. Maintaining substantial stocks has also allowed us to consolidate international freight and purchase more efficiently.
Together, these improvements have enabled us to absorb a significant portion of rising costs and hold our general pricing unchanged for three years.
Unfortunately, those efficiencies can no longer fully offset cumulative increases in imported materials, foreign exchange, wages, freight and general operating expenses.
We have also been receiving price increases from a number of our overseas suppliers. Because we maintain substantial stocks, we have been able to absorb these as higher-cost replacement stock is progressively introduced into production rather than immediately passing them on to customers. This has helped us defer a general price adjustment, but as existing stock is replaced at current costs, maintaining our 2023 pricing is no longer sustainable.
We have therefore reached the point where a general price adjustment is necessary, and our prices will increase by 11.2% from 1 November 2026.
We appreciate that price increases are never welcome. We have held this adjustment off for as long as practical and will continue to focus on efficiency, stock availability and providing good value rather than simply passing individual cost increases on as they occur.
Orders received before 1 November will be supplied at current prices. We are happy for customers to order ahead of the increase; however, orders significantly outside normal trading patterns may be subject to review. Unusually high order volumes may also affect our normal turnaround times.
To minimise disruption, our website will be temporarily unavailable from Saturday, 31 October while we update pricing across our website and internal systems. We expect the changeover to be completed and the website back online with our new pricing before normal trading resumes on Monday, 2 November.
Thank you for your continued business and support.
Regards,
Allan Breckell
