Håkansson Allperformer – M51 / PM51 Bi-metal Bandsaw Blade – Technical Overview

The Håkansson Allperformer is a general-purpose M51 bi-metal bandsaw blade designed to deliver consistent performance across a wide range of cutting conditions.

Unlike highly aggressive or narrowly application-specific blades, Allperformer is engineered to be forgiving of real-world workshop variables, including:

• Mixed materials

• Interrupted cuts

• Variable feed rates

• Older or less rigid bandsaw machines

This makes it particularly well suited to jobbing shops and general engineering environments where cutting conditions are not always ideal.

M51 and PM51 tooth material

Allperformer blades are classed as M51 high-speed steel. During the current manufacturing transition, some sizes are produced using PM51 (Powder Metallurgical M51) tooth material.

PM51 has a finer, more uniform structure, improving resistance to tooth chipping and premature wear — particularly in interrupted cuts, mixed materials, and less controlled cutting environments.

Both materials are classed as M51. The difference lies in how the tooth material is produced, not in the blade design or intended application.

These initial sizes cover the most common requirements for stainless steels, high-strength alloys, and mixed-material jobbing work. Additional widths and pitches will follow as shipments arrive and production transitions further to PM51.
