**Recommended Dilutions**

Dilution guidelines for ProCut S38 are straightforward:

* For most machining operations and metals (excluding hardened steels and stainless steels), a 5% concentration (1:20 in water) is recommended.
* For stainless steels and hardened steels, a concentration between 5–10% may be used, depending on the specific application and performance requirements.

Some other soluble oil products on the market recommend a minimum concentration of 7.5% to achieve desired levels of corrosion protection and lubricity. In contrast, ProCut S38 has been formulated to perform effectively at lower concentrations. While we recommend a standard 5% dilution for simplicity, field experience suggests that concentrations as low as 3–4% can still deliver reliable performance.

Lower minimum effective concentrations can offer greater flexibility in use and help maintain performance even if the fluid becomes diluted during operation.
